Nupur Nritya Kala Kendra is not a new name among the various dance lovers of the Kumaon region. It was established in the year of 1999 by Mrs Meenu Agrawal Bisht (Director and Choreographer). It runs degree, diploma and certificate courses of music, dance and art. All degree courses are affiliated to Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.
The students here are not only mere enrollees but have also developed a personal ‘Guru Shishya’ tradition with the teachers over the years, learning the nuances of dance forms, performance techniques and cultural awareness. Through the institute she helps them in building artistic sensitivity, appreciation and understanding the root of cultural traditions. Our students also acquire physical and mental discipline, strength of character and personality that comprehend them throughout in their careers.
