Music is an art form and cultural activity whose medium is sound and silence. The common elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the “color” of a musical sound). Different styles or types of music may emphasize, de-emphasize or omit some of these elements. Music is performed with a vast range of instruments and with vocal techniques ranging from singing to rapping, and there are solely instrumental pieces, solely vocal pieces (such as songs without instrumental accompaniment) and pieces that combine singing and instruments.

• Selected vocal scholars of Nupur, are recommended to apply for CTSSS (Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme), conducted by CCRT.
• Theory & Yoga are also part of learning and mandatory for each course.
• Prayag University’s Examination fee (Form & Practical Fee) will be decided at the time of examination only. Nupur is not responsible for that.
• Uniform: White kurta payzama/black trousers & white t-shirt (for boys) and white chudidaar payzama and frock suit, dupatta (for girls). Compulsory for all tabla students.
• Session for this course is taken from July to June. Course fee is irrespective of any absence of student, to be submitted course wise.
• Theory exam will be held in December and Practical in the the month of May. .
• Monthly fees of the months May & June must be submitted in the month of May.
